“Rope” embellishment:
Cut 8 pieces of yarn approximately 5.5 feet long. Hold all strands evenly together and tie a knot in one end, leaving a 33.5” fringe. Tape the knotted end to a table or stable surface to hold it in place. Take 4 strands in each hand and begin twisting both strands clockwise. As you are twisting, twist those two strands together in a counterclockwise motion (right hand over left) (see photo). Continue twisting until there are 33.5” of fringe remaining. Secure with a knot.

Finishing:
Sew buttons to the front of the bag using the button loops as a guide for placement. Feed “rope” through loops and tie in a loose square knot.
