If you spend a lot of time on Facebook, you may see a lot of games going around that ask you to choose your birth month and day, or first initial and last initial to create a silly sentence. Well, being the crochet addict that I am, I decided to create one related to crochet! Dare to make a statement without weighing your ears down, with these lightweight crochet earrings. Use 2 colors for a flowery look that is perfect for Spring/Summer or use one color for a slightly different look. OOPSIE DAISY EARRINGS Pattern by RaeLynn Orff / AllieCat’s Hats and Crafts Materials:

PATTERN Top piece (make 2)- Begin with a magic circle and center color Round 1: ch 1, 6 sc into the circle, join with a sl st in 1st sc. Pull tail to close. Fasten off center color. (6 sc) Round 2: ch 3, sl st in same st, *[sl st, ch 3, sl st in next st],* rep *-* in each of the remaining sts. Fasten off and weave in ends. (6 ch 3 sps) Bottom Piece (make 2)- Begin with a magic circle and center color Round 1: ch 1, 8 sc into the circle, join with a sl st in 1st sc. Pull tail to close. Fasten off center color. (8 sc) Attach petal color into 1st sc. Round 2: *ch 7, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, sl st in next st of Round 1, ch 6, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, sl st in next st of Round 1,* rep *-* 3 more times. Fasten off and weave in ends. (8 petals) FINISHING Block each piece. After blocking, insert a jump ring into one of the ch 3 spaces of the top piece and then attach ear wire (facing right for the left ear and facing left for right ear. This will ensure that the right side is facing when they are worn.)
