I received this Red Heart Boutique Infinity yarn in the mail back in the summer. My first thought was, "Beautiful!" I love purple, so the "Enchanted" colorway was perfect for me!
Since the weather was warm, I wasn't inspired to use this bulky weight #5, 67% acrylic, 16% polyester, 11% wool, 6% nylon (according to the label.. I did notice that the Red Heart website lists different amounts for the fiber content.), yarn at that time. Now that it is January and the weather is cold and snowy, I knew exactly what I wanted to make with this yarn. Mittens! Grab your copy of the Enchanted Moonlight Mittens pattern here.
I absolutely love the way the color changes worked up and I think this yarn is perfect for mittens!
The yarn is kind of "fuzzy' with strands of sparkly fabric spun into it. It worked up well. I didn't have any problems with snagging or splitting. It isn't very tightly spun, so when I pulled on the tail to close up the hole at the beginning of my project, it broke. Was it necessary to pull as hard as I did? Probably not.
Overall, I really like this yarn. Mostly because of its pretty ombre effect. It is soft and I really enjoyed working with it. I will definitely be using it again!
